Murals & Public Art Commissions by Ali Rice FRSA

Rice Design creates bespoke murals, public art and commissioned artwork that give a space character, meaning and a story of its own. Every project is designed from scratch by artist Ali Rice FRSA, a Fellow of the RSA and Global Canvas Award winner whose work has been shown and awarded at the Natural History Museum.
Hospitals and hospices
Artwork can make wards, waiting areas, gardens and family rooms feel calmer, warmer and more personal. We work with staff, patients and families so the finished piece reflects the people who use the space every day.

Restaurants, cafes and hotels
A mural can become the signature of a venue: something guests remember, photograph and share. We design around your brand, your interior and your opening hours.
From town centres and public spaces to new developments and Section 106 public art, we create work rooted in local stories. Community engagement is central to how we work, through consultation, workshops and co-design with residents and young people.
Councils and community regeneration

Businesses and private homes
Professional artwork for offices, shops and reception areas, and private commissions for homes and gardens, each one designed for its setting.
How we work
1. Consultation: we listen to your brief, research the place and the people, and talk to the community where relevant.
2. Design: concept development, sketches and a final design for you to approve.
3. Materials: we choose paints and materials to suit the surface, location and how long the work needs to last, indoors or outdoors.
4. Production and installation: we produce and install the work on site, keeping disruption to a minimum.
Where we work
We take on commissions across Warwickshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands (including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Solihull), Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
